We have a Christmas tree, and luckily it seems that my concern with regards to the aesthetics was unnecessary. Mot and Nit came home with a nice tree (green even!) and only 2 different colors for the decorations, blue and gold.
I must say that the end result does look pretty good, as long as I ignore the multicolored running lights :(, and it was a joy to see the enjoyment they got out of decorating this Christmas tree.
Of course with the tree now taking care of they started talking about presents. They figure that we need to have real presents below the tree, rather than the empty gift-wrapped boxes I suggested :)
So, after consulting with Fon and Daeng they agreed that every one of us should buy a present for all the others. This way there would be lots of present below the tree.
Uh-huh, and I am gonna end up getting 4 shirts, and buying 4 golden bracelets, I suppose...
Anyway, it's nice to see them getting into the spirit of things, especially since they are all Buddhist :)
