bust Posted August 21, 2016 Report Share Posted August 21, 2016 A YOUNG Thai couple spent an entire night sleeping in a foul-smelling Pattaya hotel room unaware that a dead body was tucked under their bed. According to the Chiangrai Times, the couple checked in to the hotel on Friday evening and noticed a putrid odor in the room. They then called the hotel staff to spray air freshener in their room before spending the rest of the night there. A maid who entered the room for cleaning the next morning also noticed the bad smell and found traces of blood that came from the bottom of the bed. The hotel manager who was alerted to the finding immediately called the police to inspect the room. The discovery of the transwoman’s body was made after the couple checked out of the hotel room. The incident took place at a five-story hotel in Soi Buakhai, of Chon Buri’s Bang Lamnung district. The police and rescue workers who went to investigate found the body of a transgender woman when they removed the mattress from the bed frame. Based on the condition of the body, investigators estimated mat have died three to four days ago. The hotel management had informed the police that two men had checked into the room on Aug 16. At about 1.35am on Aug 18, the two men had brought a transgender guest into the room. They checked out of the room later on the same day. Pattaya police chief, Pol Col Apichai Kropphet, investigators have identified the suspects based closed-circuit television footage. However, Apichai kept mum on the additional details He said police are searching for the two suspects.
