Flashermac
With their currency in a free-fall and showing no signs of recovery, local businesses that rely heavily on tourism are starting to suffer http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/special-reports/463073/reduced-to-ruble-russia-s-economic-woes-hit-pattaya
YimSiam
Guess Pattaya's glad they never went through with changing the "WALKING STREET" sign to Cyrillic... Too bad for Pattaya businesses, I rarely had negative run-ins with Russians. Wonder if this means more or fewer Russian girls working the strip? Guest
Russians have never really made any effort to integrate socially as some nationalities, preferring to congregate in only Russian owned establishments, and rarely supporting the local community and business. With an estimated 1 billion middle class Chinese within the next few years, instead of the Russian ghetto Jontiem has become, it might well in the near future be a new China town district. Interesting to note that partnerships and alliances are already being put in place, for any future development and sales of property.

Flashermac
And more scenes like this ... Photos of a Chinese tourist marking her territory with bra and panties in a Chiang Mai airport terminal spread across the social media last night to the collective head-shaking of netizens. It was not just the sight of her underthings but the fact the woman claimed at least six seats to dry them as she lounged and played with her phone that people took shots at. “Doesn’t their country teach the concept of manners?†one user commented. From the photos establishing her comfort, it seems unlikely she’d have budged even if someone went over and just casually reclined on her underwear. Chiang Mai International Airport confirmed the incident to Morning News today, saying it happened in the departures lounge two weeks ago before the photos went viral and were picked up by the media last night. http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2015/02/02/chinese-tourist-dries-her-delicates-chiang-mai-airport
jon46
well, at least she did not take up seats where passengers needed to sit down as I noticed empty seats in the photos.

YimSiam
I think we should consider the possibility that those are not that lady's clothes, and that there is a woman wandering the airport buck nekkid! YimSiam
